MELKi continuously looks to diversify and explore new growth opportunities. With the machinery and construction know-how being similar to that of mining, it was decided to expand into the mining sector as a logical point of growth and diversity.
South Africa’s rich lower Orange River diamond deposits are alluvial in nature, whilst large gravel dumps occur at a number of existing mines and – given appropriate cost structuring – may be economically mined. Our available fleet of mining equipment consists of mobile screens, excavators, bulldozers, payloaders and trucks, well-suited for mining graveldumps and in situ material in this area.
MELKi Mining offers comprehensive contract services to a range of mining companies, at competitive rates, for the mining of alluvial
deposits. Drawing on the expertise of our highly qualified field and management personnel, and the overall reputation of MELKi, and coupled with our low-cost and extremely efficient equipment, MELKi Mining is ideally placed to meet any contract mining requirement.
Derived from our experience, proven capabilities, skilled staff and equipment, MELKi specialise in the creation and maintenance of roads, while constantly striving towards excellence and the introduction of improved and safer surfacing techniques.
MELKi SPECIALISES IN PLANT HIRE, PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT. We are a South African based company that has been in operation for over 40 years and comprise of MELKi Property, MELKi Construction & MELKi Mining.
